"New Tricks" - episode 2

Another beautiful Winters day and another great outdoor session by the beach..

Here are a few new (and extreme!) moves courtesy of Alena:

- Bar Sit-up
- The Spiderman Push-up
- The Ultra-extreme Slovakian Burpee with Ball

BAR SIT-UP
Take care if you're going for the Bar Sit-ups, they require big concentration and core engagement. Without this there is a risk of hurting the lower back. Remember to:

- Squeeze the midsection as you pull yourself slowly back up. (Picture the abs as cables running along the front of the torso - when those cables contract, the torso will sit up)
- Keep the head up and back straight.

As in the video, first timers should use some assistance. Good job Tadayuki!

SPIDERMAN PUSH-UP
The Ball Push-Up is a great exercise to progress to once you have the regular Push-up down. It provides instability and forces your core to work much harder. Once you got that down, have a go at introducing the Spiderman legs into the mix.

ULTRA-EXTREME SLOVAKIAN BURPEE W/ BALL
The Burpee is pretty straight forward. Smash out a few of them at any point in the workout to make life a little harder!

Great session. Thanks Fernando, Alena, and Tadayuki.
